As part of their participation in MIT REAP program, Namaa Almunawara leaders were on a visit to Japan. They were eager to learn about the latest innovative technologies that Japan is up to, and so we were requested to arrange visits to the top startup. Although the request was very short notice, we were able to arrange for them to meet with the top innovative startups in Tokyo (in e-commerce, fintech, art & technology…etc).

Our Approach
Prepare a 2 days tour to visit the top startups in Tokyo.
Albeit the very short notice, we managed to secure 8 visits to different fields, and meet senior management in each company.
In order to facilitate such a request, we prepared the following.
Visitors Profiles
Namaa Almunawara’s profile and each member’s profile were translated into Japanese and given to the Japanese side.
Letter of Request
Usually, such visits don’t require a very formal request, but we insisted on making an official visit request that explains the purpose of the visit and given flexibility amidst the short notice.
A tight schedule was built, and we made it to 8 companies in two days. Each company visited got a version of the schedule. Also, each member of Namaa got a detailed version of the schedule, including a description of the company we are visiting and what is significant about it.
8 companies visits and 1 set down with a ministry was accomplished. Namaa members went back with new ideas and potential future partners.
