Cosmo Sogo has been producing their supplement G.P.S for more than 20 years. They have gone through an organizational restructuring and decided to expand to other markets, such as Saudi Arabia. They had a client who needed the information in Arabic. So we not only translated the content into Arabic, but also redesigned the document to a more modern design, and replaced images with higher quality ones. The aim was to make a document that can be printed on a regular printer any time and to lower the cost, hence we made it into a simple PDF.

Our Approach
Make the document appealing to Arab customers by translating it to Arabic and redesigning it.
The pamphlet was designed originally to fit within the Japanese market. We had to extract all the data out of the original pamphlet, rearrange it, and then plot it in a newly redesigned pamphlet that appeals to Arab customers.
The first step was to extract all the text and translate it into Arabic. Then double check the contents and expressions. Because the marketing message was directed toward Japanese, We had to rewrite most of the content to fit with Arabic customer mentality.
The 2 pages pamphlet was so full of text and hard to understand. We redesigned to be spread over 7 pages. The titles and text were rearranged to give a modern look and be easier to read. We even replaced the images with high-quality ones to make it constant with the taste.
The pamphlet has been a hit and a refresh from the old design. We have been asked to make an English version according to it.
