Scentee launched their first product in Kickstarter “Scentee Machina” back in January 2018. From our previous experience in launching a product in Kickstarter, we helped them before the launch to shoot the video in a more Kickstarter-friendly way by providing the storyboard, and we designed the Kickstarter page. During the launch, we handled communication with the backers and make sure to update things regularly. After the end of the campaign, we communicated with all backers, sometimes on an individual level (especially for Japanese backers) and collect necessary information from the backers and released updates as needed.

Our Approach
Create the page and manage in-campaign interactions.
Using our previous expertise in launching our own Kickstarter campaign, we handled everything inside the campaign and preparation.
In any Kickstarter campaign, the video is one of the most important hooks. We collaborated with an artist and made sure to draw a script that appeals to backers’ taste. The resulting script was very easy to follow and made the video more appealing.
If you have been in Kickstarter long enough, you know that successful pages just have a “taste” of some sort. We directed our effort to make the page as easy to follow as possible. We wrote the text, edited the images, created the GIFs, and made sure that most of the questions are answered.
During and after the campaign, the most important success factor is the backers themselves. We made sure that all concerns and suggestions are heard. Actively updating FAQs, messaging and comments.
